Dear members of the Tufts community,

For the past fifteen years, the Tufts Distinction Awards have provided an opportunity for our entire community to come together to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of our staff and faculty members. We are pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the Tufts Distinction Awards and the David J. Kahle Leadership Award. Congratulations to you all, as well as everyone who was nominated.

The achievements of the 13 individual and 2 team Distinction Award recipients, as well as the David J. Kahle recipient, best reflect our shared values as a community – leadership, innovation, customer service, integrity, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives and support for inclusion. Thank you to the Distinction Awards area sub-committees and the selection committee for carefully reviewing and narrowing down more than 230 nominations. Selecting final recipients is not an easy task, which speaks to the impressive contributions and dedication to Tufts amongst the pool of nominees.

We’re thrilled to invite all staff and faculty who wish to join us for our in-person awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at 51 Winthrop Street on the Medford campus. Please RSVP for the in-person celebration by emailing by Wednesday, November 9. Like last year, we will also livestream this event so the entire Tufts community can participate virtually. Stay tuned for additional details to be announced.

To those who submitted a nomination, we appreciate the time you took to recognize and celebrate the great work others are doing. Acknowledging our successes through the Distinction and David J. Kahle Awards, as well as everyday interactions with your colleagues, contributes to making Tufts a great place to work. Every individual and team nominated deserves this moment of kudos.

After introducing last year’s in-person and virtual hybrid event, we look forward to bringing even more members of the Tufts community together live to honor the Distinction Award and David J. Kahle Leadership Award recipients. Looking beyond that, we encourage you all to continue showcasing your service, professionalism, and teamwork as you progress in your careers at Tufts.

Visit the Tufts Distinction Awards website for the complete list of nominees and award recipients.

Best wishes,
