Dear colleagues,

Last year, you broke records, submitting an impressive 330 Tufts Distinction Award nominations.

This year, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of this program – 15 years of Tufts colleagues honoring and recognizing one another for extraordinary accomplishments outside of teaching and research.

And for the fourth year, we are also presenting the David J. Kahle Award, which recognizes innovative staff or faculty who have led a successful initiative to improve the experience of Tufts community members.

Each of us works with exceptional individuals and teams who personify leadership, integrity, collaboration, and innovation, and who deeply embrace diverse perspectives and meaningful inclusion.

We invite you to nominate them between now and June 24.

By simply answering two questions, you can ensure that your colleagues know how much their contributions matter.

We look forward to coming together for the award ceremony on November 16 to celebrate our nominees and recipients. Whether it’s cowbells from Cummings, Fletcher flags waving, community members chanting a beloved colleague’s name, or standing ovations, one thing is certain – there’s nothing quite like celebrating the people who make us proud of our university and the work we do together.

Once again, we encourage you to submit your nominations by June 24.

Best wishes,

Anthony P. Monaco, President
Kim Ryan, Vice President for Human Resources
