Open Meetings, March and April 2013

Dear Faculty, Students, and Staff,

President Monaco would like to invite you to open meetings he will be hosting on each campus this spring to update members of the community on university initiatives and to hear from you about Tufts’ opportunities and challenges. Provost Harris and Executive Vice President Campbell will join the President in discussing topics including strategic planning, capital planning, and the TEAM initiative.

These meetings offer an opportunity to share ideas and observations with the President and senior leadership, and engage in a dialogue about how we can best advance the university’s mission of teaching and research. They will take place as follows:

  • Grafton: Tuesday, March 26, 2013, 1:00-2:30pm, Varis Lecture Hall
  • Boston: Thursday, March 28, 2013, 2:00-4:00pm, Jaharis Family Center, Behrakis Auditorium
  • Medford/Somerville: Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 3:30-5:30pm, Cohen Auditorium

The President’s Medford/Somerville meeting will be webcast live. The webcast will use Flash Live Streaming, which should avoid “player” issues and Mac-PC problems. You may reach the webcast the day of the meeting at: http://president.tufts.edu/townmeeting. During the webcast, you will be able to submit questions for consideration through a comment form on the webpage.

The format for all of these meetings will be informal, with brief remarks followed by ample time for questions and comments. Please feel free to call me on 7-3300 or email me at michael.baenen@tufts.edu if you have any questions about the meetings. The President hopes you will be able to attend and looks forward to hearing your thoughts.

Best regards,

Michael Baenen
Chief of Staff
Office of the President
