Faculty and Staff Appreciation Concert

Dear Medford Colleagues:

In my last message to the university community about the impact of the economy on the Tufts budget, I mentioned that students on this campus were organizing a concert to say thank you to our faculty and staff. I am writing now to invite you to attend this special event. It will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2009, from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. in the Distler Performance Hall in the Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center.

The Granoff Center has hosted many remarkable events since its opening, but this one will be truly unique. It reflects our students’ gratitude for the sacrifices and extraordinary efforts faculty and staff are making this year as the university works to put our students first. The program has been organized by our undergraduates, under the leadership of Duncan Pickard, President of the TCU Senate. We will have an opportunity to hear from some of our famed a cappella groups as well as the Tufts Symphony Orchestra.

Our students are looking forward to this chance to thank you for all your work on their behalf. I ask managers and supervisors to make every effort to ensure that staff who would like to attend this university event can do so. I hope you will join us for this unique event and look forward to seeing you in Distler next Thursday.
